Those edits do carry some truth, hair is important but people also cope a lot with hair. Getting a "clean sharp fade" isn't going to do shit for you although yes most people here understand longer hair is better.

What I meant is it doesn't really matter unless it looks more or less healthy, e.g baldness is obviously a sign of inferior genetics and the opposite with somebody with more vibrant and lush hair.

But dude doing stuff like getting a "low taper fade" is huge time cope no hair for your bones

what is most important is just having hair on your head. hairstyle can slightly alter the way you look but as long as you have thick and dense hair covering your head you should be good.
