Imagine being 75 years old and being able to look and function like you did when you were 20 or 25. That would be legit lifefuel. To me, that more important than figuring out how to live 200 years as an oldcel.

I saw this episode of the Twilight Zone where an old couple, a 79 year old man and his 74 year old wife went to get transformed into being young again, but it cost their life savings and they only had enough money for one of them. The husband got the operation because he had the most health problems and he was transformed into how he was as a healthy 22 year old. Hopefully with AI, that's the future.

It will happen but it will cost so much the average poorcel can't afford it.

Hopefully it will be able to be available to everyone via financing or credit

I just had an idea. At first I thought the rich will gatekeep this shit, but I realised that it makes more sense for elites to make it widely accessible, especially with falling birth rates. More people staying young = more workforce + more taxes + more labour for elites to profit from. I wonder which route they'll take.

There's more than enough Indians to come and replace workers in the west

Yeah but eventually they get old and die. Plus, when people are young, they are usually healthy. Sickness generally comes with age. A 79 year old with cancer was probably healthy as a horse at age 19. So more young people=much less money and resources going to health care

Youth is a social construct

Yeah but will all that really work? Aging is at the cellular level. He looks good for his age but he just looks like he's aging well

It looks like being able to make people age more like some animals do (crocodiles etc) where there is not a long period of senescence in old age may not be that far away. Maybe seeing an 80 year old more like an in shape 40 year old.
