it's been 6 years since covid.I still remember how many Europeans, White Americans, Afro-Americans, Afro-Europeans,non asians who were obsessed with anime, manga, K-pop, cosplay, and all things Asian stayed silent while Asians faced blatant racism during COVID. And guess what? That anti-Asian racism didn’t disappear. It’s still happening today, just in different forms. Yet the same people continue to pretend that they are "allies" and "fans"
It’s exhausting. It’s infuriating. They consume our culture, celebrate our work, and enjoy it endlessly.while turning a blind eye to the suffering of the very people who created it. These individuals need to acknowledge their complicity, take responsibility, and apologize for enabling and ignoring the racism that unfolded right before their eyes.I don’t really know how I’m supposed to feel. Part of me feels bitter and upset inside, while the other part just wants to have friends and connect with people.
