That is not true. What you are describing is systematic learning, and forceful thinking of your imagination. If you want to be a scientist/engineer then by all means gather all information regarding those fields and create something no one has ever seen before. But, that does not make you unique because you are still building on what had come before. Being unique is innate, it's something you are born with. One cannot make themselves unique by combining old ideas. You must create an entirely different field of thought, something no one has ever thought of before. For example, the guy who created google was unique, the guy who copied him and built yahoo was an incel. Tldr: to be unique create something no one has ever seen before.
