Crazy to think these people had such a big hold on the Middle East decades ago (Due to external financing from the USSR and other states mainly, they would have never won any election if they were ever held in their domains. Heck, they wouldn't even get 5% of the votes)
It will pass down on history as the arab fascism both as a core ideology and perhaps also resembling the rejection and demonization of fascism in the european world. Well, baathism technically really is fascism (Contrary to the selective accussations of western politicians towards any random rival ideologies) because it is literal national-socialism, instead of putting emphasis on the aryan race or the italian nation it was exclusively centered on the arab race
Ba'athist leaders of the modern era include the former president of Iraq Saddam Hussein (Who semi rehabilitated his image after dumping many of the secularist element of baathism in his later years), and former presidents of Syria Hafez al-Assad and his son Bashar al-Assad. The only reason this ideology ever existed was because of the popularity stunt of pan-arabism due to Gamal Abdel Nasser for some years, but then all those secular ideologies blew every little support they had by doing the ridicule for years with all those random united arab federations that would split in years or even hours before their leaders fought against eachother, or the constant military losses they had and inability to help Palestine even though they were all military states who got into power via coups https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab_Islamic_Republic

Allah says (Interpretation of the meaning): And, verily, this community of yours is one single community, since I am the Sustainer of you all: remain, then, conscious of Me
Jubayr ibn Mut’im reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “He is not one of us who calls to tribalism. He is not one of us who fights for the sake of tribalism. He is not one of us who dies following the way of tribalism.”
It was narrated that Jundab bin 'Abdullah said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever fights for a cause that is not clear, advocating tribalism, getting angry for the sake of tribalism, then he has died a death of ignorance.'"
Al-Nu’man ibn Bashir reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The parable of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.”
Sheykh Bin Baz said about tribalism/secular nationalism: "This is a ignorance call, and it is not permissible to join it or encourage those who promote it. Rather it must be put an end to, because Islamic legislation opposes it and rejects it. We should refute their specious arguments and claims with that which makes the truth clear to those who seek it. Islam is the only thing that preserved Arabness in language, literature and culture. Rejecting Islam leads to destroying Arabness in language, literature and culture. Hence the callers to Islam should strive their utmost to call people to Islam just as the colonialists are striving their utmost to destroy it."
Bint Waathilah Ibn Al-Asqa' narrated that she heard her father saying: "I said: 'O Prophet of Allaah, what is tribalism?’ He replied: 'It is to help your people in an injust cause.’''
Ibn Taymiyyah said: 'The caution, here, is for a man to be prejudice toward his sect based on Jaahiliyyah cause only. Nonetheless, supporting one's tribe or sect in a just cause without any transgression is something good, and its ruling could either be an obligation or something recommended according to the situation.'
