Clifs: While bone-borne SARME did not seem to possess the potential to alter soft tissue profile, tooth-borne RME caused a more convex soft tissue profile related to a reduction in SNB.

If you think only MSE will give you more than 0,05 PSL points its over for you.
There's no escape from BIMAX for recessed-cels.

Mean squared error ?

mse is good before bimax
however it literally does nothing for facial astheatics
I have no idea where it came from that mse makes you good looking

the looksmax.me hypetrain is where

people on here are genuinely more prepared to do MSE + facemask than a bi-max

a facemask that you have to wear for 14 HOURS EVERY DAY FOR 6-7 MONTHS vs bi-max where the worst is over after 2 months

Yeah, and If you think about it, the procedure for the MSE its half of that of the bimax

SARME-surgically assisted rapid maxillary expansion
Meaning they used hydrax expander after a midpalatal suture surgical cut

MSE-maxillary skeletal expander

how did you get these two mixed up?

“Expansion with MSE has statistically significant impact on the soft tissue of the face, in particular paranasal and cheeks area. Changes are stable after 1-year retention.”

“There are significant changes in paranasal, upper lip, and at both cheeks following expansion using MSE with greater magnitude at the cheeks area. Those changes do not relapse after 1 year (p < 0.05).”

MSE = lateral expansion

bimax = maxilla is moved forwards

different procedures, some need one more than the other
They accomplish different things and work in different ways

its time to bimaxxing then

MSE is for lateral expansion + bimax is inevitable anyway + MSE would give you better breathing even if it dont increase PSL noticebly

Nobody on planet earth has considered MSE a replacement for bimax (I hope)
