Europe meat consumption 1

The highest mest consumers in Europe have a life expectancy higher then the lowest meat consumers.

Just so this doesn't get the turbo cope argument "muh they are more developed countries"

Then take Montenegro and Macedonia, both economicaly very similar to each other, one has literally almost 2 times more meat consumption then the other one, yet Montenegro has a life expectancy of 77 years, 2 years higher then Macedonia.

Also the meat in the study excludes fish between, just to put more salt in vegan wounds

#2 (higher than all of the countries you mentioned) Switzerland 65 kg/c
#7 Norway 68 kg/c
You are giga retarded, thats a minuscule difference, and compare it with Spain, they are almost equal yet Spain consumes 34kg more meat

You are giga retarded for not mentioning the fact the "vegans" only make up a small percentage of the human population (like less than 2%, depending on the area), and many of the countries with lower meat consumption are much poorer (and subsequently have worse healthcare and QOL).

Haha then explain Montenegro and Macedonia you dumb fuck, both countries are the top 10 poorest in Europe with very similar economies yet Montenegro has 78/c compared to Macedonia with 39/c, but Montenegro has a higher life expectancy :feelshaha:

Also Hong Kong has the highest life expectancy on Earth and also the highest mest consumption per capita

And lastly Spain literally has just 2 months less life expectancy then the Swiss while consuming 35kg more meat, and having a smaller gdp per capita on top of it. So Spain clearly doesn't have the advantage in terms of Healthcare yet their lige expectancy is practically the same with huge differences in meat consumption

Okay sorry for calling you a retard then, the point of my thread isn't necessarily that higher meat = longer life, its that "higher meat =/ shorter life"

If I was fallacious by highlighting that, provided your own source, Switzerland has a higher (yet insignificant) life expectancy than Spain (which I didn't—I was simply observing that Spain doesn't even have the highest life expectancy in Europe; Switzerland is higher, with lower meat consumption), then you have presented a similar fallacy by comparing Macedonia to Montenegro, which have insignificant differences in life expectancy (75.80 vs 76.88, respectively).

Clearly, GDP (healthcare, QOL, etc.) has a much stronger correlation with life expectancy than annual meat consumption, as per your own sources.

Also Hong Kong has the highest life expectancy on Earth and also the highest mest consumption per capita
...maybe because Hong Kong is considered to be one of the top 10 richest nations in the world.

Maybe their specific "Mediterranean diet" healthmogs, which includes other (non-meat) foods (grapes, rice, etc)—also, less red meat (which has a correlation with cardiovascular and colorectal issues).

Okinawans do eat mostly plant based but they still eat the healthiest types of meat like lean raw goat meat, fish, lean pork etc.

Biggest point of my thread is that low stress, sun, low work hours, good comunity is the most important thing for living a good healthy life, not muh diet, the onlt really damaging thing in diet is omega 6 and trans fats

Turkey has a higher gdp per capita then Montenegro, 9% higher, yet it has 100% less meat consumption then Montenegro, and only 1.8 higher life expectancy

And a very good example i found out is Switzerland and Hong Kong, Swiss actually have a higher gdp per capita then Hong Kong, yet Hong Kong has a higher life expectancy then the Swiss while having 600% higher meat consumption (600g of meat consumption for Hong Kong daily, 100g for the Swiss)

The whole crux of this argument is cherrypicking comparisons without any statistical significance, which was what I did by using your own sources to point out Switzerland having the highest life expectancy, despite only having medium meat consumption (just to make a point).

In response to Turkey vs Montenegro, I could literally just say that "Turkey has 1.8 years higher life expectancy while having significantly less meat consumption."

As I already said, I'm pretty confident that higher QOL (GPD/c) has a strong, positive correlation with life expectancy (I'm too lazy to find a study). If you wanted to make a more meaningful argument, you would have to consistently control for GDP/c when observing a positive correlation with meat consumption and life expectancy.

But Hong Kong and Switzerland defeats the gdp argument, Hong Kong has 200/c compared to Swiss 65/c, yet higher life expectancy with lower gdp

And most of the meat is pork and beef btw

There are roughly 190 more nations to include in your regression analysis. You better get to work.

Hong Kong is 14th on gdp on the planet, has the highest life expectancy and highest meat consumption. This means that 13 countries have higher gdp's and less meat consumption then Hong Kong on the planet and also lower life expectancies. Whats so complicated?

You still have to consider the other ~180 lower GDP nations in order to make a solid assessment of statistical significance (the argument you made against Switzerland versus Spain and Turkey versus Montenegro in terms of life expectancy)...

Is 1-2lb of beef/day healthy ? I’ve eating lots of beef lately and people irl are saying I’m gonna die off cancer :hnghn:

Literally no, there is nothing in beef that could cause cancer, the nitrites in processed red meat have shown direct causation to cell death, red meat hasn't, it only has casual association with higher mortality risk but thats because people who eat red meat aren't as health obsessed in all other areas like vegans are for example.

Nitrites/Nitrates are not bad for you.
