Ive been trying to fraud hunter eyes in social settings but actually just look super autistic

Ive always been really intimidated by eye contact my entire life and about 4 years ago I heard about squintmaxxing to make your eyes look more appealing. I learned that wide eyes( or deer eyes) are an unfavorable look compared to much more compact hunter eyes but I wasnt born with them and most definitely would never develop them but I thought I could just squint to imitate it. So before I looked at anyone I started squinting so when they saw me I thought my eyes would look better and they would just think thats how I naturally looked.

Well a few days ago at work one of my managers pointed it out and asked me why I squint everytime i look at her. Im NT enough to not have told her and I just said idk but then I asked a friend and he also said that I squint before I look at anyone. And just as an added bonus they both told me I cant make eye contact for shit and the manager thinks In super afraid of women.

Am I retarded for thinking I could effectively fraud with squinting? Ive been doing this to everyone consistently for the last 4years and now Im scared they all think Im uber autistic but also its so well ingrained in me its become a habit and I cant really stop doing it.

(Why is this in looksmaxxing? Because its a failed attempt at looksmaxxing.)
