So yesterday a new guy came into my BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) class, he was legit 4'11" or something, i guess in his mid-late 30s. Before we train/spar, the coach always says that we should find a partner with more or less the same height and weight. Nobody picked this poor man and I felt so sorry for him, I can understand how dark and difficult his life is. The few women in the class were all around 5'5" and significantly taller than him. I saw the pain in his eyes when the coach said we should be about the same height for practice, and nobody even looked at him. I then took heart and chose him...
We started with standup/wrestling. One hand on the wrist, the other in the armpit, from there dominate the other, wrestle down and bring him to the ground. He couldn't even reach my armpit, so I had to knee down so he could do the exercise. And I'm only fucking 5'10".
After that it went to guard and he wasn't even remotely able to get his legs around me. The pain on his face was brutal. He was a beginner and I think he will have to quit BJJ, his limbs are just too short to even be physically able to do 90% of BJJ stuff, brutal.
I tried to be friendly the whole time, fuck I feel so sorry for him. And the brutal thing is that nobody cares about him and his struggle, god bless him.
