Hi.
I have decided to pursue the hardmax method and go with a surgical solution for my recessed jaw. (pic one of them is jutting)

Over the months of jutting ive developed unaesthetic jaw muscles and gotten some mild pain.

Just a few questions:
Should i try to continue with jutting to try to get insurance to cover on the basis of "pain".

Should i get a bimax or a single jaw

Should I wait to be 18 in hopes to get some forward growth

I will of course consult with an orthodontist, im merely asking for an aesthetic opinion.
Thanks in advance for any additional info and advice

Jutting usually means your bite is incorrect, definitely go see an orthodontist and get some scans done.

You can’t get bimax until at least 18 anyway, so get into bracers so you are ready to make the most of it.

Also you usually get better results than what you see when jutting because you can’t account for the rotation which looks like it’ll be counter clockwise from your pics.

the pain is temporary, you will get used to it

maxillary down graft + bsso ccw, no genio needed, make sure to tell your orthodontist that you want braces to prep for surgery, and find a surgeon
also fix your hairline, you are going bald :feelsgiga:

Dont start with braces without speaking with a surgeon. Because else you will most likely need braces again, because the surgeon talks with the ortho so the ortho moves teeth acc to surgery. Also you will not get insurance most likely. And by the time you are over 18 all the good jaw surgeons will be 30k + atleast. So better start saving up

what ive heard it varies from 5-25k usd. the good thing about these surgeons are, they wont raise their prices since its south america. who got that amount of money there if it aint paid from insurance?

Good BSSO candidate I don’t see how LF1 would benefit you

if i get braces its self paid (2k ish to fix the overbite), if i go to surgery the preparation orthodontics are covered by insurance
