i'll use 2 pics of bomer as examples first one is the traditional line people use for the measurement, second one is where i think the line should be drawn

the jaw obviously looks wider and i'll also morph the area above to match the traditional line's width for further proof to my argument

That would be the masseter, which is not the bone structure. Your “jaw” bone structure starts at the gonion
