Weird little experience walking into work today. I was heading toward the door with my head kind of down, walking fast, not really paying attention. A group of maybe 8-9 girls came out together, already being loud and laughing. As I passed them, one of them suddenly goes “holy shit,” , some were screaming and then the whole group got even louder until I went inside. At first I wasn’t sure if it was good or bad since they didn’t go quiet, but the timing was directly as I walked by. I think it was just one of those moments where your presence gets noticed more than you realize, even when you’re not trying.
