Eggs in one basket. No backup plan. Defiance, pride and ego.
I don't know if any of you know about the YouTuber "Johnny Carey". Used to make super interesting and entertaining videos back in 2018-2019. GOAT level, one of my favourite creators.
The guy had it all ahead of him. Now - he's a FOREX scammer aged 26.
This deep dive is far worse and far more brutal than the 1STMAN one, but serves as a reminder that not going through college, whilst not picking up blue collar work and developing trade skills (not the "trade skills" you're thinking about), but genuine certifications in any trade that can be considered non-financial or blue collar.

Here’s a likely timeline of Johnny Carey’s trajectory, starting from 2015. It’s a mix of known facts, logical inference, and psychological analysis based on how these influencer arcs typically unfold.
Age: Late teens
Activity: Starts uploading skits and “UK roadman” comedy, often filmed in public with mates.
Core Influences:
Psych State: Energized, ambitious, high on momentum
Activity: Channel takes off. Collaborations increase. Sponsorships come in. Possibly reaches highest income during this time.
Personal life: Has a long-term girlfriend; likely his support system and emotional anchor.
Core Influences:
Psych State: Stable, but the pressure starts mounting quietly—how long can this last?
This is the psychological turning point. He posted about it at the time, and fans noted how devastated he seemed.
Core Influences:
Psych State: Depressed, untethered. Channel activity might dip or shift in tone.
Activity: Skits feel repetitive; engagement drops. Fewer collabs. Audience aging out.
Income: Declining or inconsistent. YouTube AdSense and brand deals becoming unreliable.
Core Influences:
Psych State: Anxious, stuck in a rut, pride prevents asking for help
Activity: Starts dropping subtle references to trading, passive income, “investments.” Possibly experimenting behind the scenes already.
Core Influences:
Psych State: Rationalizing risky behavior; ego and survival instincts merge
Activity: TikTok and Telegram promotions ramp up. Uses old fame to build trust. FCA issues a public warning.
Core Influences:
Psych State: Internally conflicted but numb. Leans into deceit as a coping mechanism.

Activity: Channel growth stagnates. Daily YouTube views barely pay bills. Social media focus becomes scattered, less authentic.
Reputation: Quiet backlash growing. Name no longer carries respect it once did.
Core Influences:
Psych State: Fragmented identity. Survival mode. Still chasing validation—but hollow now.
Johnny Carey didn’t just “fall off”—he drifted, slowly, without a guide. He likely didn’t intend to become the guy he is now, but fear and pride are powerful accelerants when mixed.
Given what we know—and assuming no major redemptive pivot—the most likely trajectory for Johnny Carey is:
His YouTube growth is already stagnating. Once daily views dip below a threshold (~10k/day), the channel becomes functionally obsolete from a revenue standpoint.
Unless he reinvents himself or finds a niche with longevity, he’ll slowly disappear from public consciousness. That’s already happening.
He’s now in what’s called a "scam loop"—a downward spiral where:
This could lead to:
He could try to:
But without formal education, skills, or a credible network, the bar is high. And more importantly, his public trust is eroding—making any rebrand hard to believe.
This is the wildcard—but a real possibility.
Within 2–3 years, Johnny Carey is largely forgotten by the mainstream, possibly operating small scam communities under burner accounts or trying to relaunch something with the little clout he has left. He won’t be “cancelled”—just irrelevant and broke, clinging to past fame.
Without new skills or a complete mindset shift, he’s headed for financial instability, social isolation, and likely resentment toward the very audience that once lifted him up.
PSA Takeaway:
Chase fulfillment, not clout. Invest in yourself, not illusions.
MOST IMPORTANT PART

What to Avoid (and What He Didn’t):
Avoid tying your identity and income to fleeting trends without diversification; Johnny failed to build skills, savings, or ethical revenue streams outside YouTube. Avoid suppressing trauma and fear—he ignored his post-breakup spiral, doubling down on grifts instead of seeking growth.
Practical Considerations He Ignored:
He should’ve invested in education, therapy, or stable assets (e.g., property, index funds) during his peak earnings. Instead, he prioritized short-term clout, assuming YouTube fame would last forever.
Why He Missed the Downward Spiral:
Ego blinded him—he dismissed declining views as a "phase" and refused to adapt. Fear of irrelevance warped his judgment, making scams feel like survival, not failure.
Why It’s Morally Reprehensible:
He’s exploiting vulnerable followers—many young or financially desperate—by selling false hope through unregulated forex schemes, knowing his "advice" lacks expertise and risks ruining lives. Trading trust for quick cash isn’t hustle; it’s predation.
Thank you.

2025 (Now): Crisis Mode
Activity: Channel growth stagnates. Daily YouTube views barely pay bills. Social media focus becomes scattered, less authentic.
Reputation: Quiet backlash growing. Name no longer carries respect it once did.
Core Influences:
- Burnout, guilt, and anxiety

Summary: What Drove the Change?
- Emotional trauma (breakup, lost sense of self)
- Financial pressure (unstable income, lifestyle mismatch)
- Fear of irrelevance (ego identity tied to being "somebody")
- Lack of purpose or reorientation (never built a backup plan)
Johnny Carey didn’t just “fall off”—he drifted, slowly, without a guide. He likely didn’t intend to become the guy he is now, but fear and pride are powerful accelerants when mixed.
Given what we know—and assuming no major redemptive pivot—the most likely trajectory for Johnny Carey is:
1. Gradual Irrelevance
His YouTube growth is already stagnating. Once daily views dip below a threshold (~10k/day), the channel becomes functionally obsolete from a revenue standpoint.
- AdSense will barely cover rent or bills.
- Brand deals will dry up (especially if his name becomes associated with scams).
- Engagement will fall off as the younger audience ages or moves on to TikTok-native personalities.
Unless he reinvents himself or finds a niche with longevity, he’ll slowly disappear from public consciousness. That’s already happening.
2. Escalating Risk & Grift
He’s now in what’s called a "scam loop"—a downward spiral where:
- Past scams burn trust
- That reduces income
- So he doubles down on worse scams to make up for the shortfall
This could lead to:
- More aggressive forex/promo schemes
- Fake “mentorship” programs or “exclusive” online courses
- Affiliate deals with shady platforms
Eventually: permanent platform bans or even legal consequences.
3. Attempted Rebrand or Pivot (Unlikely, But Possible)
He could try to:
- Pivot into a new niche (e.g., podcasting, fitness, redemption arc)
- Build a business behind the scenes (event organizing, clothing brand, etc.)
- Go full-time into TikTok content—but that window’s shrinking
But without formal education, skills, or a credible network, the bar is high. And more importantly, his public trust is eroding—making any rebrand hard to believe.
4. Mental Health Crash / Withdrawal
This is the wildcard—but a real possibility.
- When the money dries up, and the attention disappears, the identity collapse hits hard.
- If he hasn’t built emotional resilience, he might withdraw entirely, delete his accounts, or suffer a public breakdown.
- Some influencers end up returning years later under new names, or working normal jobs under the radar.
Most Probable Endgame (If Nothing Changes):
Within 2–3 years, Johnny Carey is largely forgotten by the mainstream, possibly operating small scam communities under burner accounts or trying to relaunch something with the little clout he has left. He won’t be “cancelled”—just irrelevant and broke, clinging to past fame.
Without new skills or a complete mindset shift, he’s headed for financial instability, social isolation, and likely resentment toward the very audience that once lifted him up.
Lessons to Learn from Johnny’s Downfall
- Education & Backup Plans Matter
- Johnny had no qualifications; his entire self-worth relied on YouTube.
- Lesson: Always build transferable skills. Education provides stability when trends fade.
- Emotional Resilience > Clout
- His breakup triggered a spiral he never addressed.
- Lesson: Therapy and self-awareness prevent self-destructive pivots.
- Avoid External Locus of Control
- Blamed algorithms instead of evolving.
- Lesson: Take ownership of reinvention; don’t wait for luck or shortcuts.
- Ethics Over Quick Cash
- Scamming fans destroys trust permanently.
- Lesson: Sustainable success requires integrity.
- Financial Literacy Is Non-Negotiable
- Burned through YouTube earnings, then turned to scams.
- Lesson: Invest in stable income streams (e.g., real estate, index funds).
Johnny’s YouTube Earnings Estimate (2025)
- Views: ~241M total (plateaued at 1.3M subs).
- Monthly Revenue: 1,000–1,000–3,000 (AdSense only).
- Sponsorships: Minimal (brands avoid scam-adjacent influencers).
- Forex Scams: Unclear but risky (likely short-term gains, long-term legal/financial fallout).
Future Outlook: A Likely Tragedy
Without intervention, Johnny faces:- Irrelevance: Fading into obscurity as YouTube income dries up.
- Legal Risks: FCA investigations or lawsuits from scammed followers.
- Mental Health Collapse: Isolation and guilt could lead to severe depression.
Psychological Burden Over Time
Girlfriend acted as an emotional anchor. 2018-2019 was absolute peak. He even opened up about mental health struggles over this period. The guy was a king. Inspiring in many ways, still had so much potential.- Peaks: 2020 (breakup), 2024 (FCA warning), 2025 (crisis mode).
Final Thoughts
Johnny Carey’s story is a stark reminder: potential means nothing without purpose, preparation, and principles. His fear-driven pivot to scams highlights the cost of neglecting emotional health and ethical grounding. For viewers and creators alike – build a life that doesn’t crumble when the views stop.PSA Takeaway:
Chase fulfillment, not clout. Invest in yourself, not illusions.
