Jon-Erik Hexum's death wasn't an accident. He had a very high iq and planned his suicide perfectly.
He made it seem like it was all an accident so he could spare his relatives and close friends from the pain and blaming themselves in a way of thinking "i could've helped him", "im so stupid i didn't see any signs" etc.
Now you may ask why such a beautiful man killed himself, the reason is pretty simple and obvious.
The nordwood reaper got him.

Before i found out the age of his at the time of his death, i thought he was like in his mid 30s. Turn out he was 26 at the time of his death He was aging like shit. The agepill would have made him subhuman. So instead of becoming a bald subhuman he simply took an easy way out.
