I’ll begin with this.

Good characters?
Yuta, Nanami, Toji, Mahito, and Gojo.
Thats it.

Yuta: enjoyable display of emotional attachment, his relationship with Rika is decent and I like how hes written.

Nanami: good representation of an adult in a series sorely lacking, its always cool to see the “everyday man” cook.

Toji: aura

Mahito: I like psycho villains who hurt ppl for fun, he fits that trope. He fits that, but doesn’t do it outstandingly well. Like a shitty Shigiraki from MHA

Gojo: revived “the strongest” trope. Jst a chill dude and a likable character

Bad characters?
Everyone else

The series is fucking slop. Has no thematic consistency besides “help ppl and be nice.” And no emotional complexity besides the Gojo and Suguru relationship. Its fucking boring. Only good arc was Shibuya and the series had a instant and dramatic decline from then onwards. Power system is a mix of Chakra and Bankai and they do it shittily. Yuji is the worst of the “inner demon” tropes and Yuji himself is a HORRIBLY unlikeable protagonist. Also half of the entire series is blatantly stolen from Bleach, Naruto, and other WAYYYY better works.

Its HORRIBLY mid and ppl need to stop glazing this shit.

Sure Yuta, Nanami, Toji, Mahito, and Gojo are standouts, but the rest of the characters aren't that bad either like Yuji, for example, has a lot of potential as a protagonist. His inner conflict and the whole “inner demon” thing may feel overdone, but it’s at least tied to his character’s growth, which gives him more depth than some other bland shonen leads.

You’re also really dismissing the emotional aspects of the series. The dynamic between Gojo and Suguru is more than just a “relationship” it’s about conflicting ideologies, friendship, and sacrifice, which is a pretty strong emotional backbone to the story. The thematic consistency isn’t just about “help people and be nice,” it’s about questioning the morality of the jujutsu world and dealing with the trauma of curses and power. It’s not deep all the time, but it definitely has its moments.

As for the power system, it’s not the most unique, but I think it blends enough variety with its own spin to make it interesting. The whole “Chakra and Bankai” comparison seems a bit harsh yeah, there are influences, but the way Jujutsu Kaisen handles its powers feels distinct enough for the most part.

I already praised Gojo and Suguru + it has no deep moments except when Yuji goes “I wanna save everyone!” Hes shitty Deku

If Yuji's “I wanna save everyone!” is annoying, then Deku’s entire personality is basically that on repeat for like, what, five seasons? The guy's been screaming about being a hero and “saving everyone” since day one, and it’s still the same thing. Like, we get it, Deku, you want to be the symbol of peace, but his whole journey is just one big “I’m gonna be a hero!” monologue. And let’s not forget, the entire show hinges on the "chosen one" trope, where everyone’s waiting for him to be the strongest, even though it takes him forever to even catch up to everyone else.

Soooooo, we have autism?
Character drive and character personality is different. Yuji has never had a meaningful thought in his life besides “I wanna save everyone!” While Deku goes through tribulations multiple times (ex: Vigilante) where he’s willing to undergo trauma at his own expense and basically kill himself so everyone else can be happy. Dekus a fucking Martyr while Yuji is a faggot who joins in when he’s needed. Also how is deku the “chosen one”? He was born quirkless you retard. Also its been said various time there were better OFA candidates like Mirio and Todoroki. Literally nothing he did was anything except the product of hard work UNLIKE Yuji who has never worked for fucking ANYTHING EVER

Yuji has never had a meaningful thought in his life? Okay, cool. But let’s not pretend Deku’s entire existence isn’t just one big “I wanna save everyone!” monologue too. The guy’s been screaming that for five seasons, and sure, he sacrifices himself but like, the whole “I’ll destroy my body for others” thing is literally his personality at this point. Dude’s practically a walking martyr complex. Meanwhile, Yuji’s whole deal is wanting to save people and yeah, it’s pretty straightforward, but it’s not like Deku’s out here reinventing the wheel with his “my body’s breaking down, but I’ll push through for everyone else” act. And come on, don’t tell me Deku’s not a “chosen one.” You want to act like he wasn’t hand-picked for One For All and groomed into the next symbol of peace? Mirio and Todoroki could’ve been better candidates, but nope, Deku gets the quirk and then gets treated like the next big thing. But sure, he “worked hard” for it, unlike Yuji who just showed up and started being a badass without crying about it every five minutes.

Look, Yuji might not be the tragic, tortured soul Deku is, but to act like he hasn’t earned his place in the story is ridiculous. He’s been through a hell of a lot of personal struggle and sacrifice, just not in the same “my life is one big tragedy” way Deku has. So yeah, I get that Deku’s your boy an all but let’s not pretend like My Hero isn't just a bunch of emotional trauma cycles with a quirked-up underdog.

He isn’t. Is that his motivation? Yes. But he has other character traits. He has anger, he has empathy, he has regret, he has actual emotion. Unlike Yujis faggot ass

He was bullied by Nighteye till he proved himself as the superior candidate which Nighteye conceded, he was better than Mirio and the ultimately better hero which is thematically represented through him completing the quirk and being able to use all the abilities. MHA isn’t “wow this dude got lucky so he succeeded!” Its “even unlucky people can succeed and overcome their circumstances.” Also if you think Yuji is a badass your a retard he has never done anything cool ever hes a clown

Yuji has never been through shit ever besides his friends dying which happens to literally everyone, its not a “trauma cycle” its a story with actual thematic relevance and emotional complexity.

Lol so now Yuji’s a “clown” because he doesn’t cry about his trauma every five seconds like Deku? Okay, yeah Yuji doesn’t have the depth of Deku who spends his whole life being an emotional sponge, but let’s not act like Deku is the epitome of character development. He’s literally been “I wanna save everyone” for five seasons the dude’s an emotional wreck and spends half the show literally breaking his own body, crying about it, and then miraculously finding a way to keep going. What an emotional rollercoaster, right? Real nuanced stuff there.

And sure, Deku had to “prove himself” better than Mirio (who’s basically a walking ball of sunshine), but let’s not pretend the plot didn’t bend over backward to make sure Deku was the “chosen one” all along. Oh wow, Deku’s the one who inherited the most powerful quirk ever, and somehow, through sheer willpower (and a little help from the plot), he’s now a god among heroes. His entire arc is literally: “I’m weak, but wait, I’m special! I’ll keep pushing through even though my body is falling apart!” Inspiring stuff, really. We’ve never seen that before in a shonen.

Now Yuji yeah, maybe his motivation is a little simple with the whole “I wanna save everyone” thing. But acting like he’s just some “useless clown” is just blind hate. Bros been fighting curses left and right, dealing with Sukuna’s power, and trying to figure out how to survive in a cursed world. And no, he’s not out here sacrificing his body like Deku, but his journey is still about understanding what it means to have power and how to use it. It might not be a heart-wrenching, tear-jerking drama every single episode, but it’s something. Not everything has to be a trauma-fueled sobfest.

And you wanna talk about trauma? Fine. My Hero Academia has Deku, who literally cries for five seasons, gets his body wrecked, and somehow becomes the "symbol of peace." Meanwhile, Yuji’s out here getting thrown into life-or-death situations with actual curses trying to kill him. But hey, Deku’s the one who really suffered, right? Because he had to prove he was better than Mirio, who was basically perfect from the start.

Both shows are fine, but to sit there and act like MHA is some deep, flawless masterpiece while Jujutsu Kaisen is just “mid” is like saying the guy who yells the loudest is the best singer. Both shows have their ups and downs, but at least Jujutsu Kaisen knows how to keep things moving without dragging you through the same emotional sob story for the hundredth time.

Saying that with aot banner🙏
floch is one of the best characters, cause he wasn't ruined the final few arcs. very easy to understand

He has no trauma, or depth, or thoughts, or complexity, or anything at all really.

Mfs when manga has inspirational messaging:
