I was very good in free kicks and always imitated Drogba but i never understood how the heck this man did it. It's like the ball does some strange rare curve always

Freekicks for him were like penalties to others

He had a success rate of 50% or something. Every time there was a free kick Lyon fans celebrated.

They won 7 straight leagues with that team. I remember them cucking the galacticos every year in Champions League with those fancy players Govou, Essien, Carew, Malouda

I know I sound like an old fart (I am) but it's sad that we don't see shit like this anymore.

Even the guys who are considered top talents nowdays can't score freekicks, let alone of this quality

Nostalgia thinking about nights watching the Champions League highlights after the main game, often showing Juninho's freekicks
Kaka was my favourite player and motivated me to mog the other kids in the school yard with half way line screamers

Man, players nowadays score more goals outside of the box because the ball is less heavy purposefully (I think so). Try to find Cruyff goals outside of the box. That just makes Juninho's goals more amazing

But for some reason current players look like they have less quality and finesse. When i see modern players they have no identity in their game. Look at how Beckham, Zidane, Ronaldinho, Nazario, etc played. You could guess them just by seeing their feet and the ball

Juninho and majority of all oldcel ballers are unspoken gems

This is joga bonito, Brazilians do it the best. I have a special place in my heart for Brazil’s “ginga” style football

I loved that Milan team but because of Inzaghi and how he looked crazy. Also every teenager and kid admiring Dida's haircut.

That Milan team was something else. Crazy stuff. All Serie A was crazy until a couple of years or three after they decided to destroy Juventus and Milan started buying old destroyed stars.

Yeah but I think freekick skill in particular is dead, one of the most talented footballer right now is Mbappè and he has never scored a freekick in his career, meanwhile his 2000s "version" was doing this

We had Juninho, Beckam, Del Piero, Totti, Pirlo, Roberto Carlos, Zidane, Mihajhlovic playing in the same period that were specialists and now I can barely name anyone

I legit don't even see people talk about "most freekicks scored in year" stats after Messi and Ronaldo left europe

Maybe Toni Kross has that old school style but he was kinda shadowed by Ronaldo and all the great players and egos he shared the field with.
