With swearing you are insulting and offending others, with alcohol you could harm not just yourself but also others, with drugs you could overdose and die and have your family grieve you, etc. If you eat pork, while still a sin, is something that’s limited to yourself. You don’t harm anyone but you (in the afterlife).

Still you will get some people push the boundaries of what constitutes polytheism. Sunnis do not conflate personal sins with disbelief, as long as you don't think the sin is justified (a.k.a argue it's halal to eat pork, drink alcohol, be gay). There are many "scholars" who would argue this btw - surprisingly they all live and studied in the West.
