i feel this.... just canceled my subscription to tinder gold to try to make an actual effort. they do a good job sending me people from 4000 miles away and curating me people who act like i am supposed to be impressed because they can take insta model pics... it's garbage all of it. people don't even put stuff in their bios... am i supposed to want to date someone because they can stand and sit and put makeup on... big deal.... boring.
I look decent, have my own house, paid car, very early 30's, and tons of free time, hobbies, skills, and a good paying job, and i'm emotionally available and i dont get much interest. I kind of wish tinder, bumble and hinge would charge $1.50 a month to keep people off who are just on there for a vanity trip. I am ready for a girlfriend that actually matches my personality, not just some hook up stuff. that kind of stuff gets old when you did that already in your 20's. no offense... it's just not where i am at in life and meeting people on apps is really draining. i would seriously pay $100 a month to use a service that was truly about meeting people to date for the long haul.
