It haunts me that given the time and resources I've already been given on earth, I could be in a completely different set of circumstances if I'd put my mind and daily actions towards a goal.

In an alternative timeline I'm a multi-millionaire who can engage in all the pleasures money can buy at moments' notice, or I'm an famous artist whose art moves millions to tears.

I present myself as low iq on here but without a doubt I posses more awareness of self as well as environmental awareness than 95% of people that I meet on day to day basis

if I was low iq, and I don’t really know if I am because I never had it measured, I still do know how to place myself correctly in society and how to swim along with normies, what to tell them and how to leverage to get what I want from them

Yeah, if AI gets to that level but if take a look at the daily tasks that I get (this isn’t even outsourcing company, so they owned a product for years and now it’s just giving updates and changing minimally) and if you try to implement AI into solving these seemingly minimal problems with the app it will only take you so far

And this is for my (junior) position at this company, seniors here are literal monsters, I don’t see them checking GPT for answers basically ever, not like it would even be remotely useful for tasks that they have

Sure, GPT will substitute a position or two, but it will open many more opportunities, and if you start wiring your brain to get into software development, you will be more capable to adapt to the new era of AI when it does come and replace actual developers (which will not happen, in my opinion, in the upcoming decade at least)
