I usually cook my steaks on the pan only with oil and butter but I decided to give the air fryer method a try (e.g. cook first in the fryer and then sear on the pan afterward). I had 2 pieces, and cooked them individually to compare results.
First steak was given 30 min at 90 celsius (194 farenheit) and then 2 min per side on the skillet. It came out horribly undercooked and I experienced (and in fact still experience) mild stomach pain after eating it. I could only make it half-way through it before throwing it on the pan again with some butter for extra 2.5 min on each side to cook it better. This made it better but it still had thick and poor texture.
The second steak was given 35 min at 110 cels (230 f) and 2 min per side searing on the pan. It cooked properly this time but it still had this horrible texture and feel where it felt like it wasn't cooked even thought it actually was. Just fucking horrible. I couldn't even finish half of it.
Who the fuck puts their steaks into air fryers anyway jfl that shit is just for fries and snacks tbh ngl.
Hope my stomach gets better btw srs.
