So you have a goal. Maybe to loose weight, or get girlfriend, or boost your income.

There's a near infinite number of books and other media you can consume, that will give you strategies to achieve your goal.

Sneaky Procrastination

Consuming any of this material, DELAYS your achievement of the goal.

"Practicing" anything that's not exactly what you need to do to move towards your goal, is also procrastination. Practice is another form of sneaky procrastination.

The inapplicability of information

Consuming some one else's guide, will tell you how some one else solved a problem, in a way that's compatible with their unique biology, their local culture, worked for their target audience or customer at that specific time in history, and with the technologies that were available to them at that specific time.

As some one who has read a lot, I can tell you the majority of information talking about how to get girls, or make money, isn't going to be applicable to you.

To the extend gold nuggets of wisdom exist, you WILL find them quicker by pursuing your goals directly, and using just in time learning, which cover here at the end.

Just in Time Learning With Ai

Just in Time learning, with Ai is far, far superior than consuming any content on your goals.

This is where you ONLY seek out additional knowledge when you hit a road block that you are unable to solve with logic, or trial and error.

The way you seek out this information is not by wasting hours and hours with books or watching videos, it's with Ai. That's the most time efficient way to get past your immediate stumbling block.

How to get past your stumbling block with Ai:
  • Describe your model in detail.
  • Ask a model with access to the internet. This gives you
  • Ask a model capable of deep thinking. These are models that take longer, but think about the problem in logical steps and look at things from different angles. An example is 0-1 model.
  • Load in books on the subject into An Ai model, that takes in books, and then Ask that model your question. This way if there's anything in those books that could have solved your problem, you'll find it.
Benefits of Just in time Learning with Ai:
  • Efficiency - Achieve your goals faster.
  • Retention - You remember the material better because you're immediately using it
  • Momentum - You're continually moving forward learning and applying in a seamless cycle.

Momentum

We're afraid of failure. We're afraid of rejection. We're afraid of challenge.

Jumping immediately gives us momentum, and "failure" and "rejection" is part of the self correcting mechanisms that give us skills.

It's all part of the process. What we need is momentum, moving towards or goals, and we should cherish this momentum. What we don't need is more "practice" and "reading" or any other kind of pain avoidance because those allow our competition to get ahead.

Because they are like weighted shoes that we are told will allow us to run faster, but are far inferior shoes to the "just in time learning with Ai" shoes. Put on the "Just in time learning with Ai" (and your own problem solving) and have a better chance at winning the race.

Pursue your goals directly.

Don't waste time reading books on the subject, watching videos on the subject, practicing the subject, or reading articles on the subject.

When you reach a road block, use your own brain, problem solving, and Ai to solve it. You can get access to all of humanities knowledge with Ai, any other method is a waste of time tbh.

Appreciate it, 100% agree.

Need to work on doing this more myself

AI has so much money making potential in the future. How would someone go about getting into AI and using it to make money?

This thread gives me an idea of an app that helps beat procrastination using AI.

Good post and thanks

One more thing, thoughts on chatgpt vs deepseek?

Same. I can't tell you how many books I've read to learn how to achieve my goals.

Waste of time, compared to learning more in trial and error of the real world. And now with Ai I can talk to, and load books into, using Ai and not reading is unfathomably superior.

You don't really have to ask questions. You already have the answer. You always do if you look within.

In your case it's building your anti procrastination app.

And you can literally have Ai brain storm ideas for it, and do most of the coding. And teach you how to code anything you don't understand.

I recommend, paying for a thinking model or getting the best one you can, and treating it as a problem solving partner. Nothing else to it.

Good post and thanks
Thanks, Bro!

It's my understanding that deepseek is inferior to the latest chatGPT models, including GPT-o. GPT-o costs money, unless you have windows, and then it's free as part of copilot (think mode).

As far as what's the best free version, I don't know, but I recommend experimenting with all of them. Other than GPT-o on windows, Claude is the best free model I've tried, for science, logic, and problem solving but the queries in free mode are limited.

I haven't tried Deep Seek.

This will be huge for the S&P 500 and the global economy. Maybe on par with 80% of the world learning to read and write.

Medium quality, Domain Level experts in all of our pockets. Material Science, Biology, Mathematics, Coding can all be done significantly faster.

Apparently if you run it locally it can talk about China's government.
