well now the back of my tongue is fully on my palate, the oxygen i get through my nose is reduced but that probably means im doing it correctly now

side note : my teeth hurt from clenching while mewing, wtf do i do? i involuntarily clench my teeth while trying to hardmew and also when swallowing and push my tongue up on the palate

Teeth should be slightly touching or slightly apart, you shouldn’t be clenching.

How can you fail to do such simple task in a proper way?

can your tongue be too big to fully mew

The longer the toungue = how far the maxilla can go forward I bet

My face is pretty wide though bro, I have no idea if i’m doing it properly or not

Also my tongue is long not wide
idk abt that then, wide face can be genetic as well, look at chinese people.

Interesting. But the tongue in which position ?

Tip on soft palate, back of tongue should be engaged up on the hard palate while teeth should be touching together.

No point mewing if you don’t do it hard + chintucking too and make sure you nosebreath during sleep, put tape on your mouth for starters or ask family if they see you sleep with your mouth open or say if u snore, those are signs that you mouthbreathe during sleep which means you wasted all that hard mewing in the day for nothing.

Mewing made my nose noticeably straighter, my bro pointed it out to me (which denied placebo effect), but this was over the course of a month or two. To see significant face changes it’ll take years.

However don’t bother if you have been resting your hands on your face 24/7, you’re recessed and there’s no saving for u

Looks like Kechari Mudra
I saw one guy recommending it (I did it long ago as part of meditation) because it's indeed easier to apply force this way on the soft palate ... but, not sure it will help the reflex to get the hyoid bone go up ?
Did you try to alternate between the 2 ?

Honestly don’t know what you’re talking about but if your hyoid bone isn’t up and hard when mewing then you ain’t doing it right

Tip on soft palate and i am the one who can't mew properly ? Srs ?

The position of your tongue shouldn't interfere with your nasal breathing. there's something wrong dude

It can limit ur air intake if u have a narrow palate
How dude? Are you saying that you’re pushing your palate so hard up that it’s creating a bump on your nostrils that is blocking the airway? That’s literally impossible, palates aren’t that flexible.
