I don’t think theres any scientific or medical definition of “recessed”

I look it up independently of lookist websites and there are no results

I’m not denying that forward growth is easy to see and looks aesthetically pleasing

However, what is considered “recessed” seems arbitrary as fuck and disputed

I think it’s more accurate to just say that some people have more forward grown maxillas than others and they look better as a result

But being recessed is a vague thing and not a clinical medical deficiency (unless severe)

You speak about recessed maxilla when it's clear the soft tissue is not pushed enough AKA paranasal hollowing at young age, undereye hollowing, downturned nose.
