It's come to this point. I will be forced to end by life if my accutane induced hairloss does not stop. Shedding 300+ hairs in the shower daily is not a joke, it severely damages my mental health.

My hair was the one thing that brought me up to a low tier normie. Without it, I am a Trucel. It's sad my life had to end this way but I have no other choice.

I guess I will be another number added to the suicide from accutane statistic

wtf is accutane
is it a steroid cream?

Check this out you little faggot
won't load for me. Did he roid to fix his issues?

nevermind, just read it. He fixed his issues using a juice cleanse because he removed all inflammatory foods from his diet. This won't work long term

acne medication which has rare side effects. Because I have subhuman genetics, I hit nearly every side effect of accutane and they are not stopping.

Accutane shedding is not permanent, it's temporary
I suspect I developed some kind of TE from Accutane, srs, was taking accutane, irregularly on 500mg test jfl
Like if I had terrible sleep, terrible diet, didn't workout, I will experience some shedding
Im regrowing hair rn ngl

OP if ur Norwooding, what's ur nw?

i'm not norwooding at all. I actually don't believe accutane causes telogen effluvium at all. It is most of the time diffuse alopecia areata.

How long did it take you to stop shedding? I am shedding all over my body uniformly. Luckily my hairline has not been pushed back at all so I know it's not MPB.

I had major shedding like this years ago during a stressful time. I remember hair falling on my face while talking to someone. I thought it its over..but it stabilise on its own and grew back. I really hope it does and it should do. Do you still take accutane?

Are you sure about that? Diffuse alopecia is typical of Telogen Effluvium. Areata is supposedly patchy, and it's not just a thinning but complete bald spots. Areata can be treated with medication such as Betamethasone whereas Telogen Effluvium only requires time, around 8 months after the hair loss starts (although Minoxidil can speed up the process).

Are you diffuse thinning? i recommend 1.5-2g of aspirin a day.

Aspirin2

the shedding i experienced was once when i was on it, 3 years ago, and stopped when i went off it. my diet at that was okeish, i wasnt malnutrioned
i experience some shedding 6-9months ago, when i was basically malnutrioned, stressed as fuck and didnt sleep like at all (no cope, its legit, like my eating, sleeping habits where so bad like recently)
the shedding stopped about 2months ago, after i have sleepmaxxed, eaten more, etc
i was loosing hair only on my head, not body tho
the part where i lost most of my hair were actualy the sides, the back of my head (i had like a stripe that was going linear going down from my "cowlick" down to the bottom), and on the scalp (there was another line on the right side of my head, it was going curvy, but wasnt long to notice, could hide that)
it got so bad that even good friends of mine noticed it...
LUCKILY it grew back. but i know now for a fact that it was just a temporary shed, it wasnt like as bad as urs, but i was losing like 50hairs in the showers, and woke up having 50hairs on my sheet
i can relate to you op, ngl, its the worst feeling ever knowing u lose hair, and dont know the origin of the reason.

rn my hair has its density back, and now know that i shed under extreme circumstances regarding diet, sleep, stress
(on the real note, those 3months, where the shedding suddenly occured were pure hell, i literally sometimes didnt ate for 3 days, and sometimes wasnt sleeping for like 2days, and if i slept, then it was for like 3hours. was also on ritalin when the shed first occured)

the same process which causes alopecia areata can trigger another type of alopecia. My diffuse shedding is similar to alopecia areata (spot baldness), but I am not losing hair in spots.

Yes, medication such as betametasone has slowed down my hairloss considerably but I can not continue due to potential skin thinning of the scalp over time. So I have to find another medication to treat this. I've been looking at a medication called xeljanz which should stop my hairloss, but it comes with hefty potential side effects (such as cancer jfl)

I've been off accutane for three months

I guess you already visited a derm?

thanks man I appreciate your story. I also need to fix my diet, I am basically starvemaxxing from the depression of losing my hair. Glad you can relate. Losing hair is the most distressful thing in the world, especially when the cause/treatment is unknown for the most part.

My derm said the hairloss would last only a week, which it obviously has not. Anyways, I now know more information on accutane induced hairloss than any derm in my area does, I'm sure of it. I will self prescribe medication to try and treat my issue. If nothing works....

Self prescribing can be risky honestly, be careful. I'd at least get a second opinion, even though you probably have acquired a lot of infos on the subject on your own.

Either way, good luck to you.

Ugh reading your story brought back awful memories..the hair shit was the 1st awful thing to get through in my life..i didn't think mine would stop and grow back. But it did. I would shave my head so you don't panic seeing the hair come out to reduce stress and try detoxifying your body because accutane works like a poison.
You have a good chance because hair cycles are longer than 3months. The shedding phase could stop soon. And everything go back to normal.

My hairloss is not MPB. Believe me, I would be hopping on fin if it were. I'm losing hair due to something called diffuse alopecia areata, basically an immuno condition. This has no cure but it can be halted using immuno suppressor medication which I will soon try.

The only issue is that if I catch covid-19 while my immune system is suppressed, that won't be very good

what caused your shedding? Accutane?
Very bad stress. Starting shedding heavily out of no where. Brutally gutted. Didn't leave bedroom for days. Took finastride, got sides. Stopped taking that. Shedding continued. Shaved head, tried to cope while being upset. And everything just went back to normal. It should do for you.

you can go for synthetic hair transplants, they're very good quality, don't rope just yet

I'm going to medicationmaxx first with a drug called xeljanz. Look at the results of this brazillian girl who suffered form the same condition I am going through-

The only downside is that the medication suppresses the immune system, so a side effect is potentially cancer. I ordered it from India and it should be arriving soon.
