Thank you for pointing this out. I think one of the big things a lot of this forum lacks is nuanced thinking. It's very easy to find comfort in being a staunch believer in a given philosophy or subject at hand because that's kind of human nature. But that often comes with omitting and being blindsided by key elements on the truth. We like to look at the rare cases, that 1% of exceptionally good or bad, because that's what sticks out to us the most (and first), so we often gravitate our opinions and judgements based on those outliers. That's also why I hate people saying "Asians are subhumans," "darkskins are subhumans," "all curries are subhumans," etc. Jfl, if they're not joking, do people genuinely believe what they say? That kind of mindset leads to unfounded hate and misunderstanding; the other party, taken aback by such retorts, is forced to go into fight or flight mode and thus reciprocating the hate is the quickest option. Then the vicious cycle continues. Is that what we really want our forum to become?
