Memorize basic word and possibly some grammar. Start watching movies with subtitles in language you are studying. After some time try wirhout subtitles and if you understand 35-60% of what theyre saying just continue to consume media

nah youre good its not as if youre learning russian or mandarin
use LingQ, practice your vocabulary with Anki and make sure you find a way on how to practice speaking

Nah you dont need an app, just follow my guide and use dictionary for the basic words. Using a physical dictionary will also increase you brainmass, iq and ability to consume and proccess knowledge

ask native speakers for help
be consistent, even if you feel sick try to do a couple minutes of review to keep it in your mind

Consume a lot of content in that language. I picked up conversational german in no time convincing myself I was learning when I was just binge watching german TV shows.

I disagree with this. German music is often full of slangs, foreign arab/turkish words and also slurs. It can easily confuse a beginner. I only started listening to country style german music and gradually moved to the main stream stuff

Country style haha the older songs are great though. I barely listen to the new ones.
