I have come to preach a new form of achieving your goals, its called sitting on your ass (most of the time)
Wu Wei is a concept literally meaning "inexertion", "inaction", or "effortless action. It is an important concept in Chinese statecraft and Taoism.
It is the practice of taking no action that is not in accord with the natural course of the universe. Basically, doing nothing. Sometimes this is your best and most logical action, and a surprising amount of the time it can create better results and actions.
Look at these 2 gymcels for example. They both take 100 different herbs/supplements, they change their diet every month, they are both coping hard by gymcelling but they look like trash.
And...
Both of these copers almost died from their tryharding and 1000herbs/supplements, different dietary choices etc.
These guys did 100 different things, they all end up with "do you even lift bro" physiques, and with near death experiences. The lesson here is don't force anything in life, just let things happen. If you want to build muscle then just eat a lot of saturated fat for testosterone and don't stress yourself coping. Sometimes the best option is effortless action or doing nothing. Many people think actions will achieve positive results. If this was the case everyone would be a millionaire. The reality is that most actions will cause a negative result especially over time.
Im not saying don't do anything, rather the majority of results come from the minority of actions. Don't go overboard, take things easy and slow. Doing too much will only stress yourself out. A lot of things are predetermined anyway so just do what is needed to change them and you will be better off. Just because it doesn't seem like there is anything to lose doesn't mean there is.
