A Georgia woman has been arrested for using her probation officer friend's badge and gun to get free snacks at a QuikTrip.
Gwinnett County Police Officer J.T. Smith says he saw Pektra LaQuiche Edgerton, 33, inside the QuikTrip at Satellite Blvd and Merchants Way and felt her actions were suspicious.
Edgerton was said to have been holding a Glock 19 in a Serpa holster and Smith said that she avoided eye contact with him, according to a police report.
Edgerton was still wearing the badge when she was stopped. She was arrested and charged with impersonating an officer on August 21.
She has been released after posting $4,146 bond.
Also, in social media, she also claims to have served in the United States Air Force.
Smith contacted the Georgia POST and determined that Edgerton's certification as a peace officer was revoked in January 2019.
