Sometimes I wonder would it be easier to leanmax if I actually knew that it would guarantee the pleasure of sex.

Rather I just enjoy the pleasure of eating. Obviously people saying getting lean will make woman like you more and I'd have a better chance.
But it's hard to go with that.

Instead I just rot away, getting fatter if anything with the aspiration of being lean.

I feel similarly. Nothing's 100% guaranteed out of any form of maxxing anyway, just makes you prepared when the time comes I guess.
