So, aesthetically, what is the difference between an LF1 fracture and an LF2 fracture?

What can be more benefitted from? What is more worth it?

- It seems the LF1 only advances the lower of the maxilla which can create some lack of harmony and inequality

- The LF2 seems to be more conducive to aesthetics and balance and pushes the nose out from the middle as opposed to the base which can create a chimp appearance

lefort 2 by far

can you outline some of the major difference between the two? why is lefort 2 a much better option to lefort 1?
lefort 1 upturns nasal tip, widens nasal base, flattens nasal bridge

like you said, leaves disproportions between upper and lower maxilla

really the only upside lefort 1 has over lefort 2 is the ability to rotate the jaws (clockwise/counterclockwise) and the prices, availability— because lefort 2 is barely done

nobody performs lefort 2

what i thought ccw rotation could be done with lefort 1?

Lefort 2 is even more risky then lefort 3

and this is lefort 3,

I've probably typed this 10 times but you're not going to get a Le fort 2 as someone who isn't extremely deformed and going to a very rare surgical specialist. We could talk about what it could theoretically accomplish, but if you get jaw surgery, it will be Le fort 1 the overwhelming majority of times.

Dr. Douglas P Sin is retired, you can’t even contact him by email anymore.

Unless you’re talking about a different surgeon
