to align my bite even more the orthodontist has attached elastic bands to my braces from the top to the bottom pallet as he says it will move the top palate further even more... is this true?
can rubber bands cause recession even after someone is fully grown?

it wont cause any recession

as far as i know overbite rubberbands cause recession because they force your maxilla backwards

You laugh at that, but you know they basically slice off your face for Lefort 3

theese elastic bands will make your mandible more recessed and your maxilla more peojected at the same time, until your underbit is fixed.

Getting a lefort 1 is better than using elastic bands to fix underbite, because this surgery does not require to shorten the mandible
