i need yalls opinion on this. for example my fwhr on photos is way too high, but when i measure irl then it's nearly ideal. how is that possible? like ofc lens distortion can make somewhat of a difference but that much? also in the mirror my face looks way wider than on selfies. if it turns out that lens distortion really does make that much of a differnece, wouldnt people on social media who have a ideal fwhr be uncanny irl? like ofc they'll still look good but maybe worse than on camera?

lens distortion is legit

i look irl literally same as in my best photos

imagine if i would use worst ones and get after that 0 matches

Back camera on 5x. Horizontal. 10 sec timer. Stand 5m away eye level with your phone. Then zoom in on your face and measure.

That's the ideal way to minimise lens distortion.
