Thoughts on options just as an investment?
I don't know what you mean by "options as an investment" - can you expand on what you're saying?

I mean using options not just for short-term speculation/gambling but like incorporating them into a portfolio for income or long-term growth.:Comfy::bigbrain:

It's too risky. Why not invest in stock index funds?

I've only had success with long term trades between asset classes and sports gambling. I've never attempted day trading as that's to much hands on work for me.

If I did partake in this endeavor then id do the following:
1. Learn every single pattern known in trading
2. Learn triggers that start a specific pattern to arise .
3. Find the easiest asset class and asset within that class that has the highest daily fluctuations.
4. Id create a strategy for the amount to bet or percentage of my account based on the risk of each specific trade.
5. Id master that one asset using the mock trading simulator with fake digital money and simply train 24 7 for a month. Id try to see if there are any patterns that indicate a future pattern is coming.
6. Lastly if factor in daily sentiment of the stock and the stock market in general and see and track how that changes the fluctuations over time.

Once I've become an expert on this one stock I would then have a system that tracks my moves over a month. Then I would outsource a top end expert in machine learning to create an AI trading bot to mimic my moves but only the wins and not the loses and add in all the factors I've talked about.

Once this AI trading bot has proven to be a winner then I would move onto my next target and repeat that process. Perhaps eventually I can have them mimic or even enhance the learning process of mastering each asset. I would create 100s of account with these bots. Now over time would add new accounts to find better winners and remove the low return bots or assets that are no longer as profitable as my new top performers.

After doing this I would then start a channel on trading.

I would sell the bots at 10k
Id sell my course on how to learn to trade for 5k
Id sell how to build your own bot for 3k
Id sell a mimic my trades for some of my accounts at 25k

Id sell one on one coaching for 10k per hour.

Accredited investors only club membership at $500 per month.
