We are nowhere this close, in fact in the last decade the evolution of computer hardware has slowed down considerably...In the 90s and early 2000s the processing power, RAM and hard-drive capacity of computers would double every 1,5-2 years, but now it takes 9-10 years for these to double...
The Playstation 5 is only 2,5 more powerful than the PS4 Pro, while before every new generation of Playstation was usually 20-30 times more powerful than the previous generation.
