There's no winning on this planet, only people who suffer more and people who suffer less. Life is truly tragic because you are aware without much that you can do about it. Some people would get skinned, some people will suffer from disease and disabilities naturally or because of an accident. If you live long enough (considered to be blessing in society) you will watch a lot of your relatives die and it's not always going to be quick either. You'll probably die from unnatural diseases like Alzheimer and other weird shit that old people get. You're pretty much guaranteed to be more bored and depressed than happy and content.

There's too much holes to cover. If there's a hole in the ship you might try to cover it but if the pressure is getting too big in life as it usually does at some point, another hole will emerge, and what now? you covered 2 holes and a third one will pop. Problem with life is, if you ignore those holes your situation will get worse, and quick. But even fixing some holes isn't going to save that ship you call your life, it's hopeless and useless to try but you have to otherwise you will feel pain like no other

You grow old and decay over the years, your prime would be very short (if it's even something you had fun with) and then what? just living your shitty life? If I told you to play an epic video game for 10 hours but after you finish it you have to play it blind and deaf for 30 more hours, will you play that game? of course not. The ratio just doesn't add up, it's a trap. But we little humans have to play the game, our brain prevent us from roping and is part of your suffering.

We can't trust people, we can't trust our bodies, we can't trust our brain. One of them might turn on you at any second, or all of them. The only logical conclusion is to kill yourself, abandon the game. Your prime is shitty and the 30 hours after that are even shittier, what do you expect? your brain tells you that a miracle will happen, you might find something you love or a purpose to live for but ultimately it's like asking for a lightning to hits you before the winter, it might happen but the chance is just stupid low. We watch and hear about celebrity, athletes, conquers, kings, people who made history. But really it's just a stupid low amount of people. Most people were nameless soldiers, peasants, nowdays people who work 9 to 5 just to come back home to watch athletes and celebrity. You hold your hope for the smallest chance.

And let's not forget that no matter how well you played the game, no matter if you are the top of the top in the end it doesn't really matter. They will die too and will be forgotten, like it never even happened. Every smile, kiss, or hug or a moment of peace and happiness will vanish for eternity. An ant living 100 years from now will have more purpose than most of us. A cockroach will have more meaning, you can kill them now but 100 years from now they will still walk the earth where your bones rot, forgotten, your family underneath too. Those cockroaches will walk over your grave, how bizarre. They will take a shit right above it. I don't have any answers and I'm confused just as much as the next guy, those facts will fluctuate in our minds for the rest of our lives.

Everyone's fate is the same. It might sound like a cope to lump genetically superior specimens in the same category as subhumans but that's the reality. Only few get to enjoy this ride and then disappear into nothingness without any agony. Most of the others will suffer throughout their lives and ironically they'll reach the same end-point just as the genetically superior ones did.

Very true and even guys that society consider successful and history makers reach a point where they don't get the same happiness high as before and have the same net happiness as everyone else. There is no winning is this life just try to make the best out of what you have.

You're the retard who think that talking about this is cringe because of nihilism. I get it, I was like you..when I found out about something and then someone talked about it I felt like ''Ha, I know this..what is he a loser? he just found out''? but you might grow wiser and understand all of this on a deeper level, in fact every passing day I understand it more and more. You either coping with mocking facts that you don't like or you're such a smug because you are the one who just found out about it and you try to scream that me too! I know too! in fact I know it so well I simply ignore it, such old news.

You're retarded and should be ignored.

Why don't You kys then?
I'm confused, scared, and cling to hope like everybody else because that's what my brain is designed to do. Just because I understand happiness and depression doesn't mean I have full control over it. Just because I know life is mostly suffering and ultimately meaningless doesn't mean I would kill myself. There's a part of me that is hopeful, waiting, studying, watching. I can't fully control my brain.

These 4 words have shit on nature. Nature is stronger than these 4 months. Life is more complex than a sentence.
We all have problems bro some people overcome them and make them stronger while some remain soft and scared of everything life make have issues but it's how You deal with them that makes You go through them

how about honesty
It can go together, you're just aggressive because you suffer yourself and think about yourself. I'm not you. You can talk like that in your own head.

You wrote an essay about how shit life is, lol. I'd usually find this projection kinda funny but honestly it's just sad.

Damn! Now that’s a fucking thread. Read every word, examined every photo in it, and read it again right after! Also, this thread got a shit ton of comments too. How come mine don’t? Because just like in your post, my prime is done, it’s time for the 30 fucking hours of playing this game deaf and blind! Bring it the fuck on! Time to suffer!

we’re still alive, and I am going to wake up tomorrow morning, and I’m going to lose because I’m going to get old and sick and die, and I’m going to watch everybody I know and love getting old and sick and dying all around me. How do I mitigate that disaster, the flaming wreckage of my life, as you say?

Michael: I don’t know. It may not be apparent to most people – I’m not sure. It may not be apparent to – you know, we’re a couple of grizzled old guys. Maybe it’s not apparent to younger folks. I don’t want to sound condescending so I’ll just say I don’t know whether it’s apparent or not. But this sense that life from one perspective can just be one continuous loss, it may not be a crucial truth to land on – I’m not sure – but it’s definitely an important place to get real familiar with, to spend some time hanging out there, as Trungpa Rinpoche would say, in total hopelessness. It, even as we’re talking about it, sounds so awful, and yet there’s something really interesting there.

Kenneth: Yes. I don’t know if this is odd or perverse, but I find it actually very comforting to just let it in.

Michael: That’s right. And I find that it’s one of the most difficult things to talk somebody into, but once they find it, once they really understand that you don’t have to resist that idea all the time, and they let it in, it’s oddly, or as you say, perversely kind of pleasant.

Kenneth: It is really quite a relief because it takes a lot of energy to deny death and to deny decay – especially as you get older.

Michael: I’m certainly decaying as we speak. [Michael and Kenneth laugh]

Kenneth: There’s a point beyond which you can’t miss it. When you talk to old people, it’s not uncommon for them to say something like, “I’m tired of this life. I hope I die. I just don’t like it anymore.” Now, as a young person, when you hear that, it sounds horrible. You’re thinking, “No, please don’t talk like that, Grandpa. You have so much to live for,” and so on. But from Grandpa’s point of view, from Grandma’s point of view, they have experience fatigue. They have already eaten all the great meals. They’ve already had all the great sex. There’s very little novelty in your life as you get older. And it turns out the novelty is one of the things that makes life enjoyable. So when Grandma and Grandpa say, “I’m ready to go, and really the only reason I don’t jump off a bridge right now is for you guys,” for the family and the loved ones, and maybe even for society if they’re thinking of themselves that way, Grandma and Grandpa are not necessarily depressed, even. They’re just reflecting their experience of their life as an old person. So even though it’s hard as a young person to take that in, it’s worth considering that you’ll be there someday as well.

Michael: Yeah, and you may be there sooner than you think, with whatever vagaries of life can occur to one. There are just so many things that can happen that land you in a place where you realize that this is it – okay, this is what life is going to be, and it’s not necessarily unending bliss. So there’s a kind of experience fatigue. I think a lot of people hit that
