We already do it with fruits, many of the fruits you see in the grocery are GMO, we just need to do it with complex life now

Because that’s how nature works, lets say there’s a bird species and most of them have a thick fur and a subset of others fur is thinner, if the climate is getting hotter then naturally the birds with thick fur will eventually die, eventually through time a species could change drastically as it continues evolving

Though not all evolutions are the same, which is why we should step in, every creature on this planet has evolved but only one has evolved to be giga high IQ and that is us, if we genetically engineer us to be even smarter then we are now eventually we can get to a point where even the dumbest people will be as smart as Einstein was
