Think of people with congenital insensitivity to pain (CIP) these people will never experience pain throughout their entire life. If you were unable to feel pain you wouldnt be afraid of being beaten up, tortured, burned and mauled. You would be more prone for taking high risk behaviors because there would be no pain to discourage you. Some will say that it would lead to higher fatality rates because people unable to sense pain wouldnt be able to tell if they have fatal injuries or life threatening ilnesses. But honestly I would much rather die young living life of completely no pain than to be afraid of death and pain constantly like a scared gazelle. Nervous system is a thorn in human body and in human experience and those who dont have functioning nervous system are blessed by Yahweh.
