It was better before but now it's infested with virtue signalling nerds that are incompetent, make packages buggy and bloated, ban contributors that aren't faggots, implement slop support and features just for the sake of it being there. The kernel is so fucking fat now, all the desktop environments are too. They keep adding slop but still didn't implement proper clipboard functionality ffs
But at least it's not fully proprietary and there's less telemetry

It lags, it's slow and I don't like the modern ui. I haven't used it for long so no specific memories but I recall that it wasn't pleasant. It's also full of telemetry
