Is lip augmentation through fat grafting a viable option, im a small mouthcel and I was wondering if this is the best choice for lip volume

Obviously there is other options but they seem inferior e.g filler/lip lifts
Main flaw i see with this is that the fat retained isnt clear but you can get multiple session, seems worth a try

It's not a good option, but it can be done if you really want it.

Theres no native fat in the lip, its a pocket of soft tissue consisting of mucosa. As a result fat survival rate of fat in the lip tends to be ridiculously low. I'd expect about 2% of the graft to live, if your really really lucky you might get 10% to live. This is why in general its avoided. The before/after picture you posted is an amazing troll by that surgeon.

If you want more volume in general then the correct combo is Y-V advancement, plus filler after the advance.

Bullhorn lip lift does give some boost to upper lip but its not really the purpose or objective of the surgery just the outcome. So its typically inferor option for volume alone.

filler is top tier foid propaganda slop migration is pretty high in that area so theres almost nothing u can do for mouth besides mouth widening/corner/lip lift

It migrates cuz foids over fill it.

There not a lot of great options even YV advance dosent give that much added volume, it’s just better option then everything else surgical. Corner lift gives none and afaik there’s no way to just widen the mouth(maybe pallet expanded could do a tiny bit maybe)

Ah it’s just a more agessive corner lift with a y v advancements in corners.

There’s like tons of lip surgery variations but only bullhorn is ever really done.

As for epply that man will do anything… he has done clavicle reduction surgery’s before… I doubt you could find another plastic surgeon willing to do one for cosmetic purposes. Epply is really out there…
