I would strongly advise against moving to the countryside or suburbs just to be frugal. There are way less job opportunities there. It's better to live in a big city with high paying job opportunities with the ability to get promotions and move up the ladder to 6 or 7 digit salaries than it is to live like a bum in the suburbs. You can always live in a small apartment. Having a long commute to work is hell. Living in a big city (5+ million people) gives you way more opportunites to meet people IRL and on dating apps.
