local or rattinan for fat graft

From the research i've done, it seems that flying to thailand for this isn't neccessary and is only done so frequently bc of people following the herd. Can someone with more knowledge than me confirm or deny that fat grafting is a surgery that would be fine to get locally with a good surgeon and flying to thailand is 'overkill'?

20+ hours for me but that isn't that much of an issue because i would make a vacation out of it if i did decide to do it, i'm more concerned with how much the results differ between surgeons and if the procedure is straightforward then the outcome wouldn't change much based on who is performing it. The only reason I would lean towards making the trip is because of how many people have gone from this forum so I know for certain he is experienced with exactly what I would want.

for undereyes it's unnecessary imo, maybe for supras because your local surgeon might not "get" the sean o pry hooded look

Worth it imo if you're going to do unusual stuff like supra orbital fat grafting (goodluck trying to do this with your local surgeon) and the fact that he's experienced on people like us is reassuring for me.

If you just want general fat grafting in your face then yes any local surgeon is fine. Thats not why people are going to Rattinan. They are going for very specific supra orbital fat grafting, that has a very narrow outcome. I don't know any surgeon produce these types of results other than that clinic, and they are doing it reliably.

So if you dont care about hunter eyes then sure local is fine, if you do then its much more dicey.
