Long hair vs short hair on me

What y’all think short or long hair, I’m planning on getting some layers since it’s long rn and if it doesn’t look good I might just cut it like in the first pic again. Sadly don’t have a short hair side photo

Yes I booked an appointment in 3 weeks at a really good hairdresser. I’m paying 62€ for the cut gonna tell him to give me layers. Or would you advise a different cut?
