long midface never means mouthbreather or downgrown, it might just mean low Eye spacing ratio and eye separation ratio. Long midface runs in families, and it is all genetics. Total facial width to height ratio is a different thing although.

Long midface alone isn't a significant failo, but 90% of the time it is a package deal with other failos.

It runs in my families. I, my father and my sibling share this mid-face ratio of slightly less than <=1(just not compact; depending on the angle and camera position, it varies and sometimes seems compact with head tilted slightly upward). Everyone has perfect dental occlusion and no signs of recession.
