I’d argue Elliot was maybe less worse but equally as traumatising. He was isolated, unwanted, constantly bullied etc (purely psychological) and Richard’s was purely physical traumatisation.


Note that I do not condone neither of the individual’s actions!!! I just find it massively unfair how different the treatment is between them. Elliot was incel tho so there’s a bias right there but nonetheless I sympathise with his life story since it’s somewhat similar to mine or most people’s here. It’s just so brutal you know?

Actually that’s a misconception. Yes. His father was somewhat upper middle class and therefore was able to take them many trips when he was young but later on he had problems. Also I’d argue (even though I agree Ramirez had a pretty fucked up childhood…) Elliot’s life was also pretty traumatic hence his rampage, his mental breakdowns, him considering murdering his family etc. I don’t like how people take this story for granted, yes it’s not as fucked up as other people’s. But he was a kid when it started happening and it affected him deeply. I feel sympathy for both. More for Elliot tho albeit its a tad bit more cause of the bias towards him
