I find it strange how we as species evolved to build social hierarchy based on minimal differences in our superficial appearance.
If you were an alien coming to earth all people would look the same to you just like all geese, rats or Asians look the same to us. You would be going around looking at people and wondering why some get everything and the others nothing.
Even if we take height, which is more apparent, a 6'2 (most attractive height according to research) guy is less than 10% taller than the average one.
Really, I begin to think that people just need social hierarchy in some intrinsic way and they actually dont care what to build it around.
It can be height, it can be income, it can be BMI or whatever. Like, there are tribes in New Guinea which base it around being fator ability to jump high.
80% of people lose the hierarchy game, because any hierarchy naturally subdues the majority to the minority. (80% of resources go to 20%). Looks. Money. Academics. Its literally everywhere. Maybe its not about playing the hierarchy game? Realistically, I will never be an 8/10. Maybe its about quitting it?
