For life, I would prefer Status. I never had really high status much, but it seems like a really cool and good thing to have from a distance.

For sure status helps plenty.
I always thought, Status would be on almost same level with looks.

This study says, it's not. (for sure with current culture (#metoo) in the West, taking use of positions of high status/power/etc.. is getting more risky for men (sadly))

High status = having people who praise you for whatever reason.
Being a lawyer for example is not high status per sé if you are an unknown lawyer with a shitty resume

I needed to think of it afterward to understand that it was legit, because of very low self esteem, felt like girls were trolling me. They defined status by these 3 components:
* Occupational and financial status, or combined: socioeconomical status.
* educational status.

I would say, above defines: "PROVIDER / BETABUXX STATUS"

So, it's not perse the status definition. One might use as in: power in a group, or being super popular in a group due to whatever reasons.

I think that only way to see if status boosts your attractivness Is to control for attractivness and change perceived status in order to see how female react.
I think for guys Is the same too only difference Is sexual openness.
If i show you a girl and tell you she Is a virgin mormon you are gonna be less attracted than if i tell you she Is a pornstar.
