Why is this such a common sentiment among normies? It’s just blatantly not true. I mean, which looksmaxes could be considered “basic hygiene?” Showering? That’s not a looksmax. Using a facial cleanser? I guess that could be considered “lookmaxing” if you use the term very liberally. But the vast majority of looksmaxes have nothing to do with hygiene. Surgeries aren’t hygiene. Steriods aren’t hygiene. Supplements aren’t hygiene. Bonesmashing and thumb pulling aren’t hygiene. Even the softest of softmaxes like tretinoin aren’t hygiene.
I don’t understand how this is such a common belief when it is so obviously wrong. Even Gerbert Johnson lightly promoted the belief at one point I think.
