People in this community are so focused on improving for tomorrow that they forget to live today.
If you say you have a meaningless hobby, like for example supporting a sports team, people just call you a stupid goy who is wasting time. For some reason, people have the perception that any activity not partaken for the purpose of pursuing a vague and oftentimes impossible goal is a waste. They do not realize that the point of life is to live, not to chase something until you realize the supposed prime years of your life has passed you by in your relentless pursuit of looks, money, etc. They also seem to think that the day will come that they are satisfied with what they have accomplished, and only when that day comes can they enjoy all the superficial shit life has to offer. Unfortunately, that day will never come. Satisfaction is not human nature.
Even if you are sub5, you can still find enjoyment and community in superficial activities, especially when you aren’t being told how unimportant said activities are in the grand scheme of things.
Recently, I have been asked what my hobbies are, and considered leaving out that I am a sports fan because I wondered if people would think I am a stupid goy (for lack of a better word). I had to mentally slap myself because of how retarded that is. Only an insufferable individual would say that.
TLDR: Having ultimately meaningless hobbies/interests outside of self improvement is overhated and should be encouraged instead of being clowned on.
