Tbh you'd think so but lots of doctors purposely impede progress so they can continue making money. Lots of these surgeries have hardly evolved for shit in like 60 years (rhinoplasty for example). Take acne scarring too for example, go on acne.org or r/acnescars and you'll see people spend 50k on procedures for 10% improvement. Derms just push shitty lasers that do jack all that they can wave above ur face for 5 mins and charge u 3k a session. If there's some sort of method that exists today to give 100% perfect hardmaxx results doctors would unironically collude together to stop it because now their expertise is less valuable and would allow shittier doctors to do the same thus increasing the supply of doctors and hence lowing their value. They hardly ever lose money from people suing for botches now anyways so if they can give decent results to 80% of people claiming you need to spend 20k on them for that chance, and botch 20% who won't sue, they'll take that chance over some method that guarantees 100% results and makes them less valuable.
