Losing weight but face is getting more bloated?

No idea what's going on atm, I am losing weight but I see my face in the mirror and my face is becoming more round. Is it mewing or my braces or ???? I read somewhere that dehydration can cause this and I've recently started drinking so much water that my piss is now clear. Help bros

Make sure you lose fat, not only weight.

Decent calorie deficite (500kcal), eating more protein and doing some sport

you are losing muscle and not fat. are you training?

if youre doing cardio only youre fucked. its probably muscle loss and fat gains. try hypertrophy, lifting and cardio 2-3 times week

I swear I used to get this

I remember when I was at my leanest (first time i'd ever had a bit of a 6-pack and had been basically keto eating only lean protein and veggies for months) my face just looked fatter. Was SO fucking frustrating!

It seemed that when I just ate crap (crisps and sandwhiches and basically what normal people eat) my face often seemed slightly leaner, although i'd slowly get fatter around the gut etc.

Hopefully its not the mewing. I think someone else here was thinking mewing was making them face bloat for some reason also.
